Patrick's Quick Hitters is a songwriting and storytelling project by Patrick Tape Fleming. Each song in this project is under 90 seconds, created with the intention of letting go… free from ego, expectation, or overthinking. The goal is simple: to write, share, and post the song, then let it go. After years of being in the music industry where album cycles take so much time, I wanted to do something immediate and and fully raw and in the moment.

Alongside each song, Patrick writes a long-form story exploring its origins, meaning, and creative process. These reflections aim to inspire others to embrace creativity without pressure, encouraging aspiring artists and songwriters to make art for the sake of making it, without the weight of perfection or expectation. Even though I feel the act of others making art and seeing it come to life is very precious to me… Art that I make now does not always have to be precious or over 90 seconds for that matter.

Iowa Music Awards

Nominated for the 2nd year in a row

Feeling truly honored that my little songwriting project has been nominated for an Iowa Music Award in the Lyricist category for the second year in a row.
Storytelling is a big part of what I do in marketing — helping brands find their voice — but writing songs has reminded me just how hard (and rewarding) it is to tell a story in three minutes or less. Grateful for the recognition and for everyone who’s listened and supported along the way.
