Patrick Tape Fleming is deeply rooted in the heart of Central Iowa’s creative and civic life. A longtime Des Moines and Ames resident and dedicated community builder, Patrick has consistently used his time, talents, and voice to support causes and organizations that enrich the region.

Currently serving on the board of Raccoon Valley Little League, Patrick brings leadership and a love of youth sports to the field, while also giving his time as a volunteer coach for both Little League baseball and youth flag football. A former board member of the Ames Progressive in Ames, Iowa, his commitment to arts, activism, and independent culture has long been a driving force behind his work.

Patrick has been a passionate supporter of Des Moines’ growth and reputation as a destination city. He has served in community groups tied to the Des Moines Partnership, Catch Des Moines, Des Moines Tourism and Conferences, and Iowa Tourism, helping to promote the metro as a vibrant place to live, visit, and do business.

His efforts in the music community have also left a lasting mark. Patrick has served on committees for the Des Moines Music Coalition, played a key role on the advisory committee for the River Park Amphitheater, and volunteered extensively for cornerstone events like 80/35 Music Festival and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). He’s lent his expertise as a judge for the Iowa State Cyclone Idol competition and was a producer for the Des Moines Music Coalition’s Mentor Program, where he also presented and spoke at Music University.

Beyond the big stages, Patrick has volunteered as a music mentor for various Rock Camps throughout Des Moines, encouraging the next generation of artists to find their voice and their place in Iowa’s thriving creative landscape.

His efforts have not gone unnoticed. Patrick has been featured in DSM Magazine, Iowa Magazine,  Juice Magazine, and the Des Moines Register for his passionate community engagement and his impact as a volunteer, mentor, and creative leader.

From baseball diamonds to downtown stages, Patrick Tape Fleming continues to be a vibrant and tireless advocate for the people, the culture, and the creative spirit of Des Moines.

I have several National Coaching Training Certifications to coach kids youth sports.
